The conference was held Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Pacific Lutheran University.

2007 Sessions

Working with your administrators- Mark Lane, President-Elect, WMEA, and Tom Beebe, retired Principal and Superintendent.  Mr. Lane has 20+ years of experience teaching band.  Currently a faculty member in the music department at Central Washington University.

Teaching the other side- Jim Rice, Past-President, MENC Northwest Division.  20+ years of experience teaching band and orchestra.  Currently orchestra director at Inglemoor High School in the Northshore School District.  Tips and techniques to teaching your secondary certification.

Young Teachers Panel- Mariko Lane, Ryan Lane, Emily Moore and guests.  The panelists are recent college graduates with a few years of teaching experience.

Keynote Address - Mel Clayton, Past-President of WMEA and MENC.  30+ years as a public school music educator and music administrator.
