Music Matters License Plates
Many of you know that the Music Matters license plate project has been passed by the Legislature and signed into law by Governor Chris Gregoire. This is GREAT news for all of us, as all funds raised will benefit music education.
This fundraiser can benefit any music program in the state. But it’s not automatic. For your school to receive funds once the plates become available (probably in January), you need to have your school on the “approved” list first.
ANY accredited school music teacher (grades K-12, public or private) can apply for the school’s music department or music booster group to receive these designated funds. Be among the first to take advantage of this GREAT way to raise supplemental funds for your groups. Yoaur parents, your driving students and others will hopefully be proud to display Music Matters license plates on their cars, and the funds raised can supplement your music programs.
It’s easy … just click here, print out the information (2 pages), and follow the simple instructions. We will post the list of approved schools once we know the release date of the new plates, along with instructions to purchasers on how to designate your school to receive the revenues from their plates.
