Frequently Asked Questions (Updated 2.12.2025)
Is there a postponement plan due to the weather?
No, we do not currently have any plans to postpone the event due to weather. With students and teachers coming from six different states, what might be hazardous for one group is not for another. The conference and honor groups are proceeding as planned.
What if I (honor group student) am late to get to Spokane due to the weather, and I miss some rehearsal time?
If you aren’t present when rehearsals begin, your group manager will attempt to call you and your parent/guardian. If you want to let us know ahead of time, please contact:
- Your group manager (which can be found in your Accepted Student Info Packet, below);
- studentevents@wmea.org
Your safety is our top priority. If you need to be late to travel safely, please just let us know. We’ll do everything in our power to include you when you arrive.
Where do I find my Honor Group rehearsal/venue/concert information?
For a complete list of all rehearsals and performances, see our All-Northwest and All-State Overview (updated 2.13.25). This includes Google Maps links to all venues.

Can I still get a hotel room?
Deadlines for the reserved hotel blocks have passed. Rooms may still be available at some of the Marriott hotels (Davenport Grand, Davenport Tower), but you must make a regular reservation without the group code. Click here to find rooms in Spokane with Marriott.
Will there be bus service to rehearsals?
All-Northwest Mixed Choir, Treble Choir, and Wind Symphony: There will be optional shuttle buses to take students to off-site rehearsal spaces (the All-NW Mixed Choir at Cataldo Hall, the All-NW Treble Choir at Bing Crosby Theater, and the All-NW Wind Symphony at Ruby River Hotel). Click here for the shuttle schedule and map.
All Other Ensembles (High School All-State; Junior All-State; All-Northwest Band, Orchestra, Jazz Band, Jazz Choir): Your rehearsals take place in venues all next to one another in either the SCC, the Davenport Grand, or the Centennial. No shuttle buses will be needed.
When will we get our music?
Music is sent to schools once students registration fees are paid and registration forms received. Music mailing proceeds in waves to take advantage of favorable shipping rates. We have completed two waves thus far:
On December 10th, music was mailed for all Junior Honor Group registrations marked paid and forms received postmarked by November 18.
On January 6th, Music was mailed for all registration marked paid and forms received postmarked by December 6th.
Once we mail the music, the amount of time it takes to get to your school will depend on the USPS.
Where possible, we try to mail all music to the same school at the same time. The process involves considerable cross-checking and human effort. Sometimes, errors occur due to simple human error. We appreciate your patience as we continue to work on this project.
For any other questions regarding music mailing, please contact allstate@wmea.org.
Did you get my registration forms/payment?
Unfortunately, we cannot respond to individual teacher or school requests for confirmation of mailed registration forms. We have over 2300 students participating in the honor groups across six states, and ingesting all of that data is very time consuming for our small staff. We will follow up with teachers about any unregistered students by Friday, January 17.
Why does my Opus account say “missing reg data”?
This was a normal Opus status as we collected some data (namely health insurance information) on paper registration forms. It was only after cataloguing all of those forms that we were able to reset statuses. As of January 9, registered and paid registrations should be reflected in Opus with a status of “complete,” “registered,” or “ready” in Green. If your student is listed as something else, we will be in touch.
Why does my Opus account say “unpaid,” when I sent you a Purchase Order or Check?
We are making every effort to log Purchase Orders and checks into Opus; this has to be done manually for each student covered under the PO or Check. Some have yet to be logged. Check back again in a few days. If we have a problem, we’ll let you know. If we received a Purchase Order, we mailed your music to you.
I can’t print my Payment Summary. What should I do?
If you contacted us before the December 6th deadline regarding an inability to print the payment summary, we apologize that an Opus setting turned that function off temporarily. We have enabled the setting, but understand that several teachers were unable to print Payment Summaries for All-Northwest in the days leading up to the deadline.
- If you paid by credit card (whether school card or parent card), your payment is automatically recorded by Opus. No further action is required. You do not need to send in payment summaries that were previously unavailable.
- If you paid by Purchase Order or Check, these payments are logged into Opus manually. Again, we have one staff member available for this task, so please allow processing time. We have accepted the “receipt” or other documentation in lieu of the Payment Summary. You do not need to send it to us if your payments are reflected in Opus.
- If your PO or check was delayed because you needed the Payment Summary for your school financial processor, it should be available now.
- If you need adjustments to be made to your payment summary, or believe it is incorrect, please contact studentevents@wmea.org.
I have a student invited as an alternate. How do I complete their registration?
If one of your students was invited as an alternate, once you confirm their participation to us, your access to Opus will be reopened shortly. We will send you a direct link to the event, in case it has disappeared from your event list. Please check back into Opus to pay registration fees and download registration forms. You may email signed registration forms to studentevents@wmea.org and allstate@wmea.org.
