Don was honored to serve on WMEA board for 10 consecutive years, first as Choral Curriculum Officer, then as President-Elect, President, and Past President. Don has received many honors and awards, including North Olympic Region Outstanding Music Educator, and Port Angeles High School Teacher of the Year. He has taught choral and general music at all levels for 32 years, and has been an All-State honor group manager. He also was chosen to be a Junior All-State Choral Conductor.
