Hall of Fame: Andrea Klouse Inducted: 2012Andrea, a composer, conductor, accompanist and 38-year veteran teacher earned her BA magna cum laude from CWU in Violin/Voice Performance and Music Education. She has taught in the Bethel School District since 1998. Andrea received the 2003 Pierce County Arts Commission Margaret K. Williams Award for Excellence in Education, and was named 2005 Bethel District Teacher of the Year and Outstanding Music Educator. Her composition “I Hear Sweet Music” was WMEA-commissioned for the 2004 Youth Honor Chorus. In 2008-2010 she served as Choral Curriculum Officer on the WMEA Board. Andrea’s choirs were selected to perform at the WMEA Conference opening concerts in 1998 and 2008. She is also the artistic director of the Vicace! choral program, whose choirs have performed throughout Europe, in Washington DC, and at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. Andrea and her husband Bill reside in Puyallup and have four children.
