David, who retired after 40 years as a public school music educator, has a BA from Wheaton College (Illinois) and an MA from Central Washington University. In retirement he teaches private brass lessons, works for the Washington Music Educators Association organizing WMEA State and NAfME Northwest Division conferences, and has been the Conductor and Program Director of the Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra. Dave fin ished his teaching career in the Kent School District at Kentridge High School and Cedar Heights Middle School. Previously, Mr. Baldock worked at Wenatchee High School where he taught jazz bands, guitar, music theory, and oversaw an award-winning marching band and wind ensemble program. For many prior years, he taught in the Cashmere School District. He has organized numerous festivals and contests, and has held a wide range of leadership positions with regional and state music educator organizations. He is active as a private teacher, clinician, adjudicator and brass coach. He is married to Priscilla, a retired choral director, and they have two wonderful sons, Matt and Steve. David and Priscilla recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.
