Don’s teaching career spanned elementary to college. He was also a well-known trumpet player and conductor, music composer and arranger. Don founded both the Columbia Basin College Jazz Unlimited and the Columbia Basin Community Concert Band. He served as president of the Central Washington MEA and received the region’s Outstanding Music Educator award.
