
Jack spent most of his teaching career at Sammamish High School in the Bellevue School District, where he developed a highly respected choral program. He also served as the choral curriculum coordinator for the district, working extensively to develop student learning objectives to align with the state’s essential academic learning requirements in music. In 1985 Jack was honored as the Brigham Young University Teacher of the Year. He had many student interns throughout his career and was an important voice in WMEA’s Eastshore region. He was also an active participant in the Schools of the 21st Century program. Even in retirement, Jack is a frequently sought after adjudicator and mentor.
