
Kathleen taught music and arts-related subjects in the private and public sectors. At Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, she was the strings and musical theater instructor. In addition to teaching, she performed as a professional violist and vocalist in several states before completing her music performance and education degrees at Texas A&M University and a master’s degree at Gonzaga University. Kathleen served her region and WMEA in several ways: as manager of Junior All-State East from its inception, and as the WMEA board secretary/treasurer from 2000-2004. Kathleen served as adjudicator and clinician in the Pacific Northwest and Texas; she was listed several times in Who’s Who Among American Teachers and Who’s Who Among American Women.
