Kevin is Director of Bands at Mount Baker Middle School where he teaches all bands, 5th through 8th grades. He taught at Auburn High School for 11 years and has been a visiting professor at Pacific Lutheran University. Kevin is completing his 36th year of teaching bands, including 14 years in Idaho and 22 years in Washington. He has served on the WMEA Executive Board, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Board as Fine Arts Honorary Member, the Arts Advisory Group for the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, and the Arts Time Conference Committee.
Kevin and his wife, Kimberly, celebrate their son Tony and daughter Meghan, high school band directors, son-in-law Ryan and daughter-in-law Monica, musicians, and their six grandchildren, two of whom were in the 2016 Washington All-State groups. Thanks to the many, many current and former students without whom this honor would not be possible.
