Hall of Fame: Linda Honn Inducted: 2012Linda has taught K-5th grade music for 31 years in the Central Valley School District, Spokane, and also teaches music methods at Eastern Washington University. She completed her music education degree at Eastern and obtained her Orff-Schulwerk certification at Seattle Pacific University. Linda has served as an Elementary Curriculum Officer and as Vice President on the WMEA Executive Board, and has twice managed the Youth Honor Chorus. She was also a member of an MENC (NAfME) task force for Music in our Schools and the World’s Greatest Concert. In 2002, Linda was named the Northeast Region Outstanding Music Educator. Very active in the Inland Empire Orff Chapter, she was co-chair of the 2010 AOSA National Professional Development Conference in Spokane. Since 2007, she has creating curriculum used by the Spokane Symphony in its educational programs. Linda lives in Spokane Valley with her husband, Dan. She has two children, Nick and Renee, and a daughter-in-law, Kimberly.
