Linda taught music in the Snohomish School District for 41 years, first as an elementary music specialist, then as a band and choir director at Centennial Middle School. She was lucky t have a second grade teacher who recognized her musical abilities, and parents who responded by getting her piano lessons. As a student, Linda worked with amazing music teachers including Eugene Corporon and Dean Immel, Mount Miguel High School; Robert “Bud” Emile, San Diego Civic Youth Orchestra director, and San Diego State University professors Dr. Frank Almond, Danlee Mitchell and Edith Savage. Linda also has loved working with her music colleagues in Snohomish including Pete Wilson and Mike Mines, whose mentoring inspired her to mentor others. She is grateful to her husband Ron and daughters Laura and Becca for their support and understanding during her busy career, and now that she is retired, is enjoying spending more time with them and granddaughter Juniper. She also plans to stay active with WMEA and is honored to be managing the first-ever Junior All-State Jazz Band.
