Marilyn spent ten rewarding years, 1970-1978, in Seattle teaching elementary band and orchestra with Jack Schaeffer and Ray Thompson. She served as WMEA treasurer for three conferences in Yakima and as an elementary band presenter between 1970-78. She was honored as 1999 Teacher of the Year in the Naches School District, teaming with Jerry Gordon.
