Robert inspired countless students in the Spokane Public Schools to pursue music as an avocation or a career. He established and maintained a school-based junior symphony program that combined with the Spokane Symphony. He educated more than 30,000 students in programs outside of the school day by teaching strings on Saturdays and during summer school.
