Bob has served 27 years with the Puyallup School District, the past 18 as band director at Ferrucci Junior High School. He has served on the WMEA Executive Board as Band Curriculum Officer, and has contributed to the Valley Region by holding positions of president, contest coordinator and junior high/middle school honor band coordinator. He was band manager for WMEA Junior All-State and has presented sessions at several WMEA conferences. His Ferrucci Concert Band has performed at WMEA conferences, a Northwest Division conference, the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic and many local band festivals. He also serves as Symphonic Band director with the Puget Sound Youth Wind Ensemble organization. Bob is humbled to have received awards from his peers, including Valley Region Outstanding Music Educator and Puyallup School District Teacher of the Year. Bob was named the Washington state recipient of School Band and Orchestra magazine’s distinction, “50 Directors Who Make a Difference.” Bob earned degrees in music from the University of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran University, and feels fortunate to have learned from several fine band directors. He appreciates the collegiality of many dedicated music colleagues.
