Ron has been director of choral activities at Green River Community College for a number of years. A classically trained pianist and vocalist, he earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, a master’s degree from the University of Illinois and did post-graduate work at Western Michigan University. Ron taught high school in Wisconsin and Minnesota, successfully merging traditional choral programs to include vocal jazz. Ron moved to Washington, where he developed a comprehensive program at Mt. Vernon High School. He served two terms on the WMEA board as community college curriculum officer and one term as treasurer. He also chaired a committee to establish long-range WMEA planning.
