Hall of Fame: Waldo King Inducted: Inaugural Class of 1998Waldo worked as a director of bands for the Seattle Public Schools for many years. He taught music at Garfield High School, 1960-1965, Franklin High School, 1965-1969 and Roosevelt High School, 1969-1983. He introduced instrumental jazz (stage band) to the district’s music curriculum in 1960, and introduced vocal jazz (jazz choir) to the music curriculum in 1969.
