Bill was WMEA president from 1956 to 1958. He spent his teaching careeer as a band and orchestra instructor and supervisor of music from 1946 to 1974. For 30 years he was the director of the Yakima Civic Symphony, organizer of the Elks Band, and manager of the summer parks music program.
