JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Band Teacher
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Washington State Background Check
2. Fingerprint Check
3. High School Diploma/Transcripts
4. Valid Washington State Certificate
5. Must comply with all District rules and regulations
Reports to: Building Principal
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plan, prepare and organize two or more seasonal concerts
2. Organize and supervise students for preparation in various honor music groups, festivals, and competitions 3. Organize and direct pep band performances at all home football games, five home boys’ basketball games,
and five home girls’ basketball games
4. Organize and supervise all fundraising activities of the music groups in accordance with District policy
5. Supervise the cleaning, repair, transportation, and storage of music equipment and materials
6. Comply with all requirements of WIAA and the Conference regarding music issues
7. Comply with all requirements and procedures as outlined in the Teachers’ Handbook
8. Verify that all participants comply with requirements of the Student Handbook and Participation Agreement 9. Other duties as required
10. Fulfills duties and responsibilities of supplemental contract(s) as assigned
