Music Instructor for After School Program
Young Explorers Club, in partnership with Issaquah Parks & Community Services, offers a before and after school program at the Issaquah Community Center. Our program provides engaging art classes, including workshops in visual arts, theater, music and dance. We are currently seeking passionate music instructors to lead after-school music workshops that ignite a love for music in young learners.
Schedule: Mondays 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Location: Issaquah Community Center, 301 Rainier Blvd S, Issaquah, WA 98027
Compensation: $60-$80/class (45-60 minutes)
Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging lesson plans and curriculum. Teach various aspects of music to students, including music theory, vocal training, and instrument instruction (such as ukulele, drums, xylophone, recorder etc.)
- Plan and supervise an end-of-year music performance to showcase students’ progress, creativity, and accomplishments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music, Arts Education, or a related field preferred.
- Experience teaching music to children in a classroom setting preferred.
- Passion for nurturing and teaching young children.
