Ken was honored as the 1994 WMEA Outstanding Music Educator. In 1992 and 1994 he served as chair of clinics at the WMEA state conference, and was president of the Seamount region four years. For 40 years (1957-1997) Ken was a band director and adjudicator, including 23 years at Sylvester Junior High School and 13 years at Mount Rainier High School in the Highline School District.
