Lynn served as WMEA general music curriculum chair for four years, president of the MENC Northwest Division, then was elected MENC’s national president. She taught music at Eastern Washington University for 13 years, chairing the department for six years, and founded the EWU Girls’ Chorus. Lynn earned her Ph.D. at the University of Kansas, and became the director of choral music education at Texas State University.
