Active membership in NAFME/WMEA is held primarily by teachers of classroom music in the schools of the state of Washington. As an umbrella organization for all types of school music education, WMEA represents the interests of and provides services for teachers in all schools, public and private, from elementary through college/university.
Membership in WMEA is a concurrent membership with our national organization, the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).
