Since 2012 Music Aid Northwest has undertaken the support of public school music by raising funds to offer grants to music teachers. This year, over a quarter-million dollars was granted to programs around the state. However, that only met about half the grants requested. Music Aid Northwest wants to do even better next year and every year in the future.
This year, all public school music school teachers are eligible to apply to participate in the 2027 MANW Play it Forward fundraiser where the attendees will see the stories and the quality of school music programs, and the impact their grants have on students.
Play it Forward will be held on Saturday, TBD 2027, at the Triple Door Restaurant in downtown Seattle.
There are two ways to participate:
- Provide a testimonial Video performance to be shown at Play it Forward (grant recipients only).
- Apply for an In-person performance at Play it Forward (all applicants).
Application timeline:
Applications for video participation will be accepted on a rolling basis.
February 1, 2027 – Deadline to apply for in-person performance (earlier is fine).
February 15, 2027 – Applicants will be notified about their status.
February 25, 2027 – Deadline for accepted applicants to return online registration form.
