Hall of Fame: Nancy Duck-Jefferson Inducted: 2018Nancy Duck Jefferson has been a Washington choral music educator for 28 years. Dan Jackson, legendary Wenatchee High School choir director, inspired her love of singing. Nancy earned her B.A. in Music Education at Pacific Lutheran University, her M.A. in Music Education from the University of Washington. In 1999 she became Choral Director at Kamiak High School, a position she still holds. Nancy has been an active NAfME/WMEA member, and served as the SKMEA Regional President. She was honored to win Best Musical Direction four times, and Educator of the Year in 2015 from the 5th Avenue High School Musical Theater Awards. “Nan holds her singers to high musical standards and has an open and inviting off-podium persona to her 200+ students. She knows when her kids have more to give and she is not afraid to demand that they give it. They love her, and Kamiak Choir performances are both artistic and spirited.” Colleague and friend, Brian Steves
