Patricia has been professor of music and the chair of music education at the University of Washington. She has designed studies in world music and multicultural music education. She has traveled throughout the world as a visiting lecturer and is an author of books, articles and resarch, including Songs in Their Heads, Music in Childhood and Lessons from the World.
