Hall of Fame: Paula C. Ferguson Inducted: 2018Paula C. Ferguson, violinist, holds BA and BM degrees from the University of Washington, and an MME from Central Washington University. Involved in music education for over 30 years, Paula is Redmond High School Orchestras Director. She built the Redmond region orchestras from two ensembles at three secondary schools to eight ensembles at the same three schools. She serves as the Lake Washington SD Orchestra Coordinator and has served as WMEA Orchestra Curriculum Officer. Paula regularly adjudicates regional solo/ensemble contests/festivals and orchestra festivals. Among numerous awards, she has been recognized by the Seahawks and Symetra as a “Hero in the Classroom,” has received the Redmond Arts Award, and has been selected a Northlake Region Outstanding Music Educator. Paula spearheaded the 2010 String Jam where over 400 regional string players set the Guinness World RecordTM for the “greatest number of people playing the same tune on string instruments at the same time at a single venue.”
