Hall of Fame: Ted Christensen Inducted: 2006Ted is coordinator of music for the Northshore School District and director of bands at Inglemoor High School, having taught there for over 30 years. His concert, marching and jazz bands have received several honors and awards in performances throughout the Northwest. In February 2000, the Inglemoor Wind Symphony was the only high school band to perform at the WMEA conference, and in 2003, the group played at the MENC (NAfME) Northwest Division Conference. A graduate of Seattle Pacific University, Ted served as the SPU collegiate chapter president. He earned his fifth year at the University of Washington and completed his master’s degree there in 1993. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Ted was local chair and organizing chair for All-State bands in 1989 and 1990. He served for 12 years on the WMEA Executive Board, being elected president in 1998. He is a frequent adjudicator and guest conductor throughout the Northwest.
